Dialing Phone Numbers
Handy Address Book can use Skype or your computer's modem to dial phone numbers for
you.
To configure how dialing is performed use the dialog box. The modem options dialog also allows you to set Dialing
Properties. This will allow you to control options such as when to dial an
area code, or how to access an outside line.
There are a variety of ways to dial a phone number:
- Select an address, and choose the menu command. All available phone numbers for the selected
address will be displayed, and you can select which one you want to dial.
- Select an address, and choose the
button on the Tool Bar. This will dial the
primary phone number for the selected address.
- Select an address, and choose the down arrow to the right of the
button on the Tool Bar. All
available phone numbers for the selected address will be displayed, and you
can select which one you want to dial. Notice the primary phone number
is listed first, and is bold in this menu.
- Right mouse click on any address in the Address
List. A popup menu will appear with a menu. All available phone numbers for the selected address
will be displayed, and you can select which one you want to dial.
- In the the selected address
will be displayed. Double click on any of the phone numbers.
Once dialing is started a dialog
will be displayed. You can pick up your phone during this time. Once
the modem is done dialing, you can press the button on the Call Status dialog.
In addition to dialing phone numbers for a selected address you can
Redial any recently called number, or call any
number in your Speed Dial list.
