This dialog is used for selecting which categories one or more tasks belong in. To display this dialog, select the task(s) to modify from the Task List, and then choose the Edit/Categories... menu command. You can also access this dialog for a single task by pressing the Categories... button in the general task properties dialog. Additionally, you can also right click in the main window, and choose Categories... from the popup menu.
The dialog displays a list of all available categories. If any of the tasks being modified have a category assigned to them not in the category list, this category will also be displayed, but will have a (Not In Category List) next to it. To modify the category list, choose the Edit Category List... button to bring up the Edit Category List dialog.
To include the task(s) in a category, place a check mark next to that category. When modifying the category selection for multiple tasks, if a particular category is included in some, but not all of the tasks, the category will have a gray check mark against it. The following table shows what each check mark means:
Check Mark |
Meaning |
All tasks being modified are included in this category
No tasks being modified are included in this category
Some tasks being modified are included in this category |
