Troubleshoot Startup Alarms or Email

In certain cases you may need to troubleshoot alarms that are set to go off at program startup.  To disable all alarms and emails from being sent at program startup you can set an option in the registry using "regedit".  First exit Remind-Me with "File / Exit" (not the close button in the upper-right) and then use regedit to browse to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Beiley Software\Remind-Me\CurrentVersion\startup

and create a new "string value" with the name:

safestartup

and set it to a value of 1.  You can now start Remind-Me again, and none of your alarms/emails will go off at program startup.  This will allow you to make any necessary changes, like turning off email reminders for your events.  To restore your startup alarms and emails, reverse this by exiting Remind-Me, deleting the "safestartup" value, and re-starting Remind-Me.
