The task properties dialog has 4 pages: General, Alarm, Repeat, and Display. The Repeat tab is used to set up a task that re-occurs at a known frequency. When a repeating task is marked as complete, the next occurrence of that task will automatically be created and added to the to-do list. Any set alarm date will be adjusted in a relative manner. Choose from the following repeat types:
One Time |
This task does not repeat. |
Daily |
The task repeats on a daily basis. It can repeat every so many days, or every weekday. |
Weekly |
The task repeats on a weekly basis. It can repeat every so many weeks, and you specify which days of the week it will occur on. |
Monthly |
The task repeats on a monthly basis. It can either repeat on the same date every so many months, or you can choose a relative date within a month to repeat, like every third Saturday of every 2 months for example. Use this option to create a task that repeats quarterly by setting the month frequency to 3. |
Yearly |
The task repeats on a yearly basis. It can either repeat on the same date every so many years, or you can choose a relative date within a year to repeat. |
Repeat Range |
Choose an optional date range in which the task will continue to repeat. You can specify an ending date, so no more occurrences will happen after this optional ending date. You can also choose not to have an ending date, so the task will continue to repeat forever. |
