This dialog is called from the import mapping dialog. Many popular personal information management programs can export addresses to Comma or Tab Separated Values files. Handy has built in templates to make importing from these sources quick and easy. If your importing file was created with any of these sources, select it from the list and choose OK to apply the built in mapping template. Choose Cancel to not make any changes in the current field mapping assignments.
Read below for instructions on exporting from each of the following applications.
Select your Contacts folder, and then choose File/Import and Export... from the Outlook menu. Choose the Export to a file option, and then select the Comma Separated Values (Windows) file type. Use the default mapping settings in Outlook when exporting.
Choose File/Export/Other Address Book... from the Windows Address Book menu. Then, specify the Text File (Comma Separated Values) option. You can select any fields you wish to export. You can select all of them to export all data.
From within the Palm Desktop application show the Address Book by choosing View/Address Book. Then, select File/Export.... You can choose to export either all addresses or only the selected ones. Choose an Export Type of Comma Separated. When prompted for the fields and order to export, just accept the defaults, and press the OK button.
