When importing either the Comma or Tab Separated Values formats this dialog allows you to define which fields in the importing file map to which Handy Address Book address fields.
The main list in this dialog displays all of the Handy Address Book fields. The first column is the name of the Handy Address Book address field. The second column displays the data from the currently selected record in the importing file. You can use the right and left arrow buttons to scroll through each record in the importing file to see how each record would import. To import a particular field, place a check mark next to that field in the list. To exclude a field from being imported, remove the check mark.
To change how a particular importing field is mapped to a Handy Address Book address field, select the field from the list, and then choose the Change Mapping... button. This will bring up a new dialog, where you can assign any field from the importing file to the selected Handy Address Book address field. This mapping applies to all records in the importing file, not just the currently displayed one.
You can press the Field Templates... button to bring up a dialog where you can choose from a list of pre-defined mapping settings for commonly used programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Windows Address Book, Palm, or Handy Address Book.
It is common in many comma and tab separated value files to have a header row, showing the names of each field in the rest of the file. Usually you would not want to import this record as an address. If your importing file has a header row, select the First Record is Field Names button to not import the header record.
