Portable Mode |
Select this option to run Handy Address Book off a removable drive (like a memory stick) so that you can run the program from any computer. When portable mode is turned on, no changes are made to the host computer. For example, all program options and preferences are stored in the "handyprefs.txt" file located in the same folder as the Handy Address Book executable. When portable mode is off, your preferences are instead stored in the registry. (more info) |

When Handy is assigned as the default vCard handler you can easily open any vCard (.vcf) file. If the vCard contains multiple addresses they will be imported into the current address book, and all the imported addresses will be selected. |

When Handy is assigned as the default .ABK handler you can open any *.ABK address book file by double clicking on that file. |
